Kathputli slum, Jaipur city centre

Kathputli Nagar is the biggest slum in Jaipur and is famous for its puppeteers, craftsmen and musicians, Kathputli meaning the art of Rajasthani puppetry. The slum was set up more than 50 years ago by Kathputhli artisans.

There are approx. 1500 houses housing more than 15,000 people.
We will continue to create impact and  work closely with our local partner Jagriti Foundation on future plans aiming towards our goal of providing 5000 girls a free and quality education.
